Guocu Technology Vigorously Promotes the Application of 3M Liqui-Cel Degassing Membrane in New Fields

Degassing membrane, also known as membrane contactor, is a kind of membrane separation product with gas-liquid or liquid-liquid mass transfer. By packing a large number of membrane filaments, mass transfer interface is provided by a large number of micropores on the membrane surface. Due to the very small size of the membrane filaments, the interface area of two-phase mass transfer provided by membrane contactor is much larger than that of most traditional equipment such as the absorption column and packed column, so it has a very high total mass transfer rate. This technology can efficiently remove gaseous substances such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, ammonia, trace alcohol vapor and VOD in water, and can also be directly used to remove ammonia in gas.

3M's Liqui-Cel degassing membrane features a compact design and can provide efficient dissolved gas control. These gas transfer configurations are capable of adding gases to or removing dissolved gases and bubbles from a compatible liquid flow. For more than 20 years, Liqui-Cel degassing membranes have replaced vacuum columns, forced ventilation deaerators and oxygen scavengers on a large scale around the world.

At present, degassing membrane is mainly used in thermal deaeration, chemical industry, steel, integrated circuit, photoelectric, packaging, power plant, food, beer and beverage, camera and medicine and other fields, to remove gas in the liquid to meet the production needs of different industries. The removal of oxygen can reach the level of 1ppb, the removal of carbon dioxide can provide PH7.5 water production, and the degassing efficiency can be up to 99.99%.
