Ceramic Membrane Equipment

Ceramic membrane is a porous asymmetric membrane made from alumina, titanium oxide, zirconia and other materials prepared by a special process. Ceramic membrane filtration is a fluid separation process in the form of "cross flow filtration", which is driven by the pressure of the raw material flow in the membrane tube, and then small molecules go through the membrane and concentration solutions containing macromolecular components are hold by the membrane so as to achieve the aims of separation, concentration, and purification of the fluid.

The filtration of the ceramic membrane can be used for microfiltration and ultrafiltration according to its precision. Filtration pore size of the microfiltration membrane ranges from 0.05μm to 1.4μm while it is 10KDa-50KDa for ultrafiltration membrane. People can make their choice depending on the viscosity and the concentrations of suspending particles of the material.

Ceramic membrane can get a great separation result due to its high mechanical strength, large amount of penetration, easy cleaning, and narrow bore diameter distribution while it can be used for a much longer time because of its resistance to high temperature, chemical corrosion and microorganism. Thus, ceramic membrane has been successfully applied to plenty of fields including chemical, petrochemical, food, biological and pharmaceutical fields.
