The 3M™ Liqui-Cel™ membrane contactor is made of some micro-porous hollow membranes, and these membranes are wrapped around the central tube inside the membrane housing. During operation, the liquid flows around the outside of the hollow membranes, while the inside of the membranes is in a vacuum environment or contains purge gas. Using vacuum mode or purging gas, the corresponding gas concentration difference can be generated between the inside and outside of the hydrophobic membranes. This difference in gas concentration will drive the dissolved gas to be quickly and efficiently transferred to or removed from the liquid stream, which can meet the different needs of different customers for removig or adding gas.

The Liqui-Cel™ EXF-4×13 series membrane contactor has a large surface area of membranes, achieving high gas transmission performance and efficiency, simple operation, low instrumentation and maintenance requirements, and low operating costs.

Application: thermal deoxidation, chemical industry, steel, integrated circuits, optoelectronics, packaging, power plants, food, beer and beverages, imaging and medicine.
