LifeASSURE™ PDA filters combine two asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane layers with the Advanced Pleat Technology design, which ensures the filters have high throughput and fast flow rate. The absolute sterilization grade filter has passed ASTM838-05 bacterial challenge test to ensure sterilization effect.The hydrophilic-improved polyethersulfone (PES) filter is easy to wet, which is convenient for users to carry out integrity test. LifeASSURE™ filter has low protein binding, which can improve the yield of target protein. The 0.1μm filter is a good choice for removing mycoplasma and other small microorganisms.

Caustic compatibility is a desirable feature for chromatography column protection where caustic fluids used for column sanitisation and regeneration can be passed directly through LifeASSURE^TM PDA filters. Compatibility with acids provides filtration performance with aggressive buffers, column regeneration fluids and Clean-in-Place (CIP) protocols.



LifeASSURE^TM PDA Membrane Technology

LifeASSURE^TM PDA filters incorporate two layers of PES membrane. The highly asymmetric upstream layer provides prefiltration capacity for the downstream layer(figure 1), which is also asymmetric. Together, the membrane layers create a gradient membrane pore morphology that provides relatively high contaminant capacity and fast flow rates in a sterilizing grade membrane filter.
