Hemodialysis Membrane

The process of hemodialysis treatment is mainly based on the principle of diffusion and ultrafiltration physical transmission to exclude water in uremic patients. Ultrafiltration is mainly accomplished by hydrostatic pressure on both sides of the membrane, which can not only remove some toxic substances, but also remove the retained water. The artificial kidney membrane requires good blood adaptability and it doesn’t happen hemolysis, and with high transmission rate of harmful substances, if platelets and blood cells can’t pass through blood, ray or high pressure steam can be used for disinfection. There are two kinds of geometric shapes: hollow fiber and flat membrane. After the formation of dialyzers, the overall performance of membranes can be measured by clearance or dialysance.
